Chinese Zodiac - What Animal are You?

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

It's year of the pig! February 5th 2019 was the first day of Chinese New Year, year of the earth pig. #yearofthepig2019

The Chinese Zodiac has 12 animal signs, if you check the chart below you can easily find what year you were born in.

Remember, Chinese new year begins in February, so if you have a January birthday, you will be the zodiac for the year before. i.e my birthday is January 1978, so I am a snake not a horse. Some say, the further through the year you are, the stronger the qualities of the animal.

Check the list of CNY dates since 1940 at the end of the article.

Each zodiac sign has 'allies' and 'secret friends' who are particularly powerful pillars of support. It is thought that by carrying amulets or having images of them in certain parts of your home/ office, your positive flow of energy (chi) will be empowered.

The pig's allies are the rabbit and the ram, and the pig's secret friend is the tiger. You should have amulets or pictures of your allies and special friends to invite protection and support. These prints aim to portray everything you need to have a prosperous, healthy year full of luck & success.

FENG SHUI ART

If you are a rabbit, ram, tiger or a pig - it would be powerful to have a pig feng shui print.

If you are a rabbit, horse, tiger or a dog - it would be powerful to have a dog feng shui print.

If you are a rooster, ox, dragon or snake - it would be powerful to have a rooster feng shui print.

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese art/science, that seeks to create a positive chi by spatial arrangement & orientation in your environment. (Placement of furniture/ decor/ colour schemes).

Translated feng means "wind" and shui means water. In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune. Conversely, bad feng shui means bad luck or misfortune.
